Sun Salutations (A & B), open limitless possibilities of exploration for the body and mind. Essential prelude and necessary scale to warm up and prepare the students for the postures of the Primary series of Ashtanga, they draw us in from outside distractions, with power and grace, heightening concentration and presence.
The cleansing heat they provide, increases flexibility in the hips, hamstrings, and shoulders, while simultaneously strengthening the abdominal area.
In this workshop, we will have fun, deconstructing the key poses within Sun Salutations, and exploring variations and modifications. Putting it all together with breath and movement, we will practice key poses to build a strong foundation of understanding so that shoulders and lower back are safe and happy.

Learn new ways to protect yourself against common risks, overcome any obstacles, and feel completely empowered in this foundational pose.
Back bends can be at the same time the most difficult, challenging and uplifting postures. Therefore, they need to be properly prepared and understood to be enjoyable.
In this workshop, we will work on the fundamental principles of back bends. We will practice a variety of poses—from standing to seated and spine poses, with an emphasis on how to heal, strengthen, and protect the lower back. We will also explore how to move the focal point of our back bends to the middle and upper back to achieve the freedom that back bends are really all about.
Come and rebuild your back bends from the ground up.
